I keep promising myself I'm going to write more and it never happens, but I finally managed to get out a bit of character profile for Ardwen and Elerus. I'll admit I mainly dabbled in visual artwork these days, and I feel my writing is rusty and really not up to par. Be that as it may, I gave it an honest attempt. I do not know if it is good or poor, but I do know there is much room for improvement. On a related note, I find DA's formatting to submit literature to be a total pain, I wish I could simply upload directly from a saved word document, but it is either not possible or am I inept enough to have missed that bit.
I hope it's an enjoyable read to someone out there. As an interesting aside the penanggalan is an adaptation of a monster from Philippine culture, if memory serves. I've been wanting to use one in a story for some time. Regardless of where the things come from their horrifying. Though still a step below Weeping Angels in my opinion.

You will get all of my SFW (Safe For Work) PNG images every month. That will be more than 10 images each month. My images normally start at $4 per image. All of my PNG images are allowed for commercial use.

Caught in a Flood
No, that's not some clever metaphor it's quite literal. I live in West Virginia (this is already a sad story!) and the state has recently been inundated in 44 counties. Google will show a bounty of images and stories, but here are some quick links:

Suffice to say I and my family were impacted. I have essentially lost the roof over my head as well as a good portion of my belongings including my computer, scanner, and probably my WACOM tablet. I am not asking for charity, I h
What is going on.
In a very literal sense. Sorry I've not been as active on DA as I usually am, there's a lot going on in my life right now. To keep this brief:
I moved back to West Virginia in November of last year.
I've been looking for work since then, and fortunately I recently (as in last week as of the time of this writing) found a good job.
I had plans to work and upload some more artwork this weekend, but then Friday rolls around and I promptly got very sick and instead of doing anything productive my body has spent these last two days attempting to see if it is actually possible to cough up a lung.
So yea TL'DR: Got a job, got sick, haven't been a
Another Year Passes
This year grows old and I find myself bemired by unseasonably warm weather. I long to stand in a light dusting of snow as it swirls down, a forest silent around me, the sky overhead blanketed by clouds. The pregnant pause of winter, harsh, but promising new beginnings and growth after the trial. Instead, I find the temperature sixty degrees and not a speck of white. Disgusting.
Still, there's a lesson even in that. This year, like any other, was full of joys and sorrows, triumphs and tribulations. We can but bask in the sunlight we are given or hunch our shoulders and pray for more favorable weather when the seasons turn against us. To all t
Time to hit the trail
Hello again DA, just thought I should make an update here as I'm once again moving and will be in the air for the entire day of the 17th. I hope to at least be able to get online again soon, but I might be without regular Internet access for a week or two depending. Anyhow, sorry for not being around as much, but real life has made demands on my time and attention. To all reading this, thanks for your continued interest and support, it means the world to me.
Peace,
Matt
